2024 SOUTH - Early Winter D-League
6TH - 8TH BOYS
STARS Basketball Club will be hosting the D-LEAGUE in November and December on Friday evenings for “FREE AGENT” players (*sign-up individually)! This league targets those athletes who just missed making their middle school basketball team. This is a terrific opportunity for middle school boys to:
- Get in the Gym
- Receive Quality Game Reps
- Compete
- Improve
This league will follow the same format as our very successful Summer and Fall Youth Leagues, which featured over 300 middle school athletes! Players will sign up individually and then be placed on a team. A STARS Coach will be assigned to each team. This is a games’ only league – no weekly practices. Every player will receive a STARS jersey which will be collected after the last game.
STARS Coaches will teach and stress basketball concepts weekly:
- Defensive stance and positioning
- Communication on defense
- Good spacing / ball movement / good shot selection
- Sprinting the court (offensive and defensive transition)
- Compete EVERY possession – 100% effort

LEAGUE INFO / DETAILS
WHO:
- 6th – 8th Grade BOYS
- We will strive to have JV and VARSITY Divisions (7th Grade parents have a choice: JV or VARSITY, based on player preference/talent)
- JV: 6th/7th Graders
- VARSITY: 7th/8th Graders
DATES:
- Friday evenings / Six Games (11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22, 12/6, and 12/13)
- Tentative Game Times (5:15, 6:15, 7:15, and 8:15)
LOCATION:
- TOA Sports Performance Center (215 Gothic Court, Franklin)
- On 1-2 Friday evenings, games may be played at area high schools (e.g – Battle Ground Academy, Franklin Road Academy, etc.)
GAME FORMAT/RULES/OFFICIALS:
- 46 Minute Games (longer games!)
- All Spectators/Fans – Free (no gate fees)
PRICE:
- $195 if registered by 10/22
- If registering 10/23 or later, $209 (registration deadline is 10/28)
